Alexander Wang Fall 2011

Aline Weber in another grey hoodie from Alexander Wang

However overrated young designer Alexander Wang may be, I still love him and his cool androgynous designs. While his collections aren’t particularly innovative, they’re sports-wear. This fall’s collection was about as lackluster as the styling. The combination of fabrics just seems like its trying too hard, and nothing looks clean or chic and simple, which is what I’ve loved him for in the past. The one aspect of the collection I do love is the fur sunglasses.

un dimanche a la campagne

I love this editorial from Vogue Paris. Casting Sasha as a mom almost makes her look younger, and the clothes are just beautiful. Her effortless maternal beauty reminds me of Kate Winslet in Revolutionary Road.

the new ease

One of my favorite editorials of the year “the new ease” from Vogue Italia, photographed by Craig McDean. I love the way it makes high fashion pieces look comfortable, casual and chic. It doesn’t hurt that I don’t mind whenever Hanne Gaby Odiele and Hannah Holman get work.

starting again

I don’t know how many blogs I’ve started and abandoned, but with the prospect of 13 days at home for christmas break, i’m going to want something to fill time. i’ll start with an introduction

This is me; Laura. I’m 20, studying marketing and in the happiest, realest relationship of my life. I’m a professional mole, meaning I prefer hiding in bed, watching movies, and nibbling on snacks to just about anything else.
